Our Sessions Explained

Our sessions are designed to be social, active, and enjoyable for all abilities. Whether you are completely new to volleyball or already experienced, everyone is welcome to join and get involved.

Players are placed into small teams and rotate throughout the session, giving everyone the chance to play with different people, enjoy competitive games, and be part of the club community.

Sessions are relaxed, friendly, and focused on creating a fun environment where players can improve, stay active, meet new people, and enjoy volleyball together. We also have a shared club playlist, so members can add their favourite songs and enjoy music while playing.

02 · Our Mission

We want to grow volleyball by making it more accessible, social, and enjoyable for everyone.

Huddersfield Volleyball Club is built around community, development, and competition, welcoming players of all levels to train, improve, and enjoy the sport together.

Our HEYVA and Yorkshire League teams provide opportunities for players to compete, develop, and represent the club in a supportive environment.

03 · Key Focus Areas

What we're built on.

Four pillars that define how we train, compete, and grow as a club.

Player Development

We support players of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced competitors, helping them improve their confidence, volleyball skills, teamwork, and understanding of the game through both social sessions and competitive opportunities.

Competitive Performance

Huddersfield Volleyball Club provides opportunities to compete in leagues and tournaments, allowing players to gain valuable match experience, develop tactically, and represent the club against strong opposition across the region.

Team Culture

Our club is built on respect, encouragement, and togetherness. We aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where players can enjoy volleyball, build friendships, and feel part of a positive community both on and off the court.

Community Growth

Huddersfield Volleyball Club exists to bring people together through volleyball. Our social sessions, outdoor summer games, shared playlist, tournaments and competitive teams all help create a space where people can connect, stay active and enjoy being part of something bigger.
